David Hughes is a member of the senior management team at KE Costs Lawyers, David is a skilled and respected draftsman and negotiator, a qualified Cost Lawyer (2015), CLSB-accredited trainer, and legal professional with 15 years’ experience gained in the UK and abroad (Australia).  David has worked for large regional, national and international law firms, specialist costs firms and not-for-profit organisations.

David enjoys building strong relationships with his clients and is typically instructed on high-value, technically complex costs claims arising out of negligent actions, including professional negligence.

David has worked both sides (receiving & paying party) and uses this knowledge and insight to secure successful client outcomes.

Outside of work, David enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling & exploring.  David keeps fit and healthy by playing football and or running, and recently completed the 2021 Tour of Merseyside; a 52-mile running event.
